2022 One Health Judges

Birgit Isernhagen works as a Program, Planning, and Evaluations Officer for Ottawa Public Health and is co-located with the Planning, Real Estate, and Economic Development Department at the City of Ottawa. She holds a Master of Science degree from McGill University, has an Environmental Professional Designation, and has been with the City for 20 years having worked in environmental management, public policy, development review, and public health. This has given her a great deal of insight into how the built environment affects sustainability and health. She is now working on a Climate Change and Health Vulnerability Assessment and at integrating health into the supporting plans of Ottawa’s Official Plan and the Climate Resiliency Strategy.

​Bruce Dudley, Chief of Partnerships and New Initiatives, The Delphi Group and Accelerating Sustainability Events Management (ASEM)Bruce is a senior consultant and partner with Delphi's Sustainability & Climate Change Services where his primary responsibilities involve providing high-level strategic advice to public and private institutions on various facets of sustainability and carbon management. Bruce plays an ongoing role in Delphi's Cleantech and Innovation Service leveraging his experience with policy, technology and financing.
Bruce also plays an active role with Accelerating Sustainability Events Management Inc., which operates the GLOBE™ Series of Conferences. His primary role has been the support of the Innovation Expo and business to business activities while providing engagement and moderating support for the events.
Bruce joined Delphi and ASEM with over a decade of experience in the Health Sector to lead the development of Canada’s first health and environment consultancy. He became a senior consultant to Health Canada and a recognized authority in the integration of these two public policy priorities

The Challenge also featured a judge from IBM's Centre for Advanced Studies. The CHAIM Centre partnered with IBM for the Challenge Launch which featured a two-part workshop on problem definition and design thinking.
