Welcome to the first edition of the CHAIM Centre Newsletter. Here you will recieve updates on Centre activities and affliate activities.

2022 One Health Challenge Winners

Six weeks of hard work came to a head on Mar. 19 when students presented their pitches on interventions that can promote the use of green spaces for public health benefits. While all teams brought innovative ideas to the table, first place went to the "Green Days" Team. Runner ups include the "Community Flyers" Team and the "Flowers for Hope" Team.

Culture and Gender Mental Health Chair Renewal

Congratulations to Neuroscience Professor Dr. Kim Matheson for the renewal of her joint Culture and Gender Mental Health Research Chair by Carleton University and The Royal’s Institute of Mental Health Research (IMHR).

In her last five years, she spearheaded the Indigenous Youth Futures Partnership, and she will continue her work on health inequities, especially in underserved communities.

CHAIM Chats - Episode 3

The latest episode of CHAIM Chats explores topics on accessibility, green spaces, and the built environment. Two experts from Carleton University, Paul Villeneuve and Cathy Malcolm Edwards, talk about how these topics intersect and affect individuals living in North America.
