2021 One HEALtH Challenge Events

LAUNCH WORKSHOP: Jan. 28, 2021, 6-7 PM
(PAST)

CHAIM Director Kim Matheson will introduce the Challenge followed by a presentation by Carleton researchers Renate Ysseldyk & Susan Braedley. Students will then split off into breakout rooms to get to know their teams!

SPEAKER SESSION 1: Feb. 4, 2021, 6-7 PM

Teams will hear from Tamimi Ahmad & Sophia Krystek from Connected Canadians, an Ottawa-based non-profit that promotes digital literacy skills among older adults.

SPEAKER SESSION 2: Feb. 11, 2021, 6-7 PM
(PAST)

Teams will hear from:
  • Helen Hirsh Spence, founder and CEO of Top Sixty Over Sixty, a social enterprise that advocates for age diversity, equity, and inclusion

  • Zoe Totten-Coulter & Charlotte Elliot, two Carleton student athletes who took part in a program to connect virtually with long-term care residents during COVID

We will be screening everyone's video pitches and teams will answer questions from our judging panel. The winning team will be announced at the closing of the event. Everyone is welcome to attend. Contact us for a link!
